When I committed to the University of Oregon, I knew that I wanted to continue writing in Eugene. It was a necessity, and without the availability of the professional sports teams I'd found in Seattle, my focus shifted to local and college athletics.

At the Daily Emerald, I work as part of the sports desk to produce content covering the Oregon Ducks, as well as various national events hosted on campus. It's the perfect place to learn about journalism and work in tandem with other writers.

I lead the acrobatics and tumbling beat, where I provide features and game analysis, and cover football, basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball games as well as appearing on the desk's weekly podcast.
